MYSTERIOUS RIDDLES

What do you do when you wake up one morning and your ride has vanished? That nearly twenty years flew by overnight after you fell asleep? Or you wake up in the hospital and you are no longer who you think you are, because you are being addressed by a strange name? How would you react to such questions? Would it cause an identity crisis for you?

Strange things happen in the world around us.

This is the debut collection of short stories from the pen of a dreamer. Short stories that include detective mysteries, supernatural fiction, and even science fiction.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Frikkie Dippenaar retired in November 2019 after 42 years as a civil servant. In 2017, he attended a three-day short writing course at the Free State Arts Festival. Since then, the ink has flowed from his pen; fifteen of his short stories have already been published in various collections, including five different Inkspraak anthologies.

He also contributed to the book Koshuis, which was compiled by Erns Grundling in 2019.

Frikkie is a member of the Bloemfontein Writers' Forum [BSF], which was established in Bloemfontein in 2025.

This collection of short stories is the first book to be published by Frikkie.
