- Variable Rates: Shipping rates are not fixed. Rates are calculated based on the total weight of the order and the destination location.
- Weight & Location Factors: Final shipping costs may vary. If the actual weight of the packaged items exceeds the estimate provided at checkout, admin@booksatbloem.co.za reserves the right to request a top-up payment for shipping before the order is dispatched.
- Self-Managed Shipping: If you opt to arrange your own courier or logistics, you are responsible for providing the correct delivery details and coordinating the pickup.
2. Liability for Damages
- Self-Managed Risk: Books at Bloem takes no responsibility for goods damaged or lost during transit when shipping is managed by the customer (self-managed shipping).
- Damages in Transit: If items arrive damaged via a courier arranged by the customer, all claims must be directed to the courier company utilized.
- Secure Packaging: We recommend ensuring your selected courier provides adequate insurance for fragile items like books.
